I hear this every single day.
"Tracy, I saw my GP & they said I'm pre-diabetic..
What does it mean & how do I reverse it"?
If I got that news from my GP this is exactly what I would do.
Here's my Top 5 non-negotiables:
Walk 10 minutes after I've eaten- reduces post meal blood sugar spikes by 20-30%
Eat protein with every meal- between 25-40 grammes
Start Strength Training with weights 2/3 times a week
Stop drinking; smoothies, juices, sugary drinks & lattes
Replace refined carbs like; white bread, pasta..
Then I would aim to do these 3 as well:
Get good quality deep sleep & at least 7 hours.
Get my heart rate up every day with aerobic exercise (10 minutes minimum).
Completely stop snacking & eating in between meals.
BIG question:
Can it be reversed?
Yes- in most cases you can bring your blood sugar back into the normal range through these lifestyle changes.
Need accountability?
Get in touch with me.
I have a few ways I can support you.
I hope this is helpful.
