I hear this all the time...."My Doctor said to me you've got to lower BMI, lose weight & body fat (dangerous stuff around your waist).
I'm trying, I lose a bit on the scales then it goes up again, I don't seem to be making any significant progress & I'm confused, demotivated & it's stressing me out"!

.
You're eating healthy, exercising & you know you need to lower BMI, scales weight & body fat.
This could be the request from your GP for lots of reasons (here's a few);
Reduce risk of Type 2 Diabetes
Improve Blood Pressure
Lower risk of Heart Disease & Stroke
Reduce Joint Pain & Osteoarthritis
Improve Sleep Apnoea & Breathing
Improve Fertility & Pregnancy Outcomes
Support Better Mental Health & Confidence
.
The biggest deal with this is doing something that's going to make a real difference- consistently.
.
These are the FIRST 3 things I would do for 6 weeks to get started:
Track what I'm doing in my diary, plan it & tick it off.
1- Stop snacking in between meals & eat plenty of protein when I do eat my meals.
2- Make sure I'm walking every day at least 5,000
3- Prepare my 'runway' for optimal sleep quality (get daylight, exercise everyday, make sure I'm hydrated, not drink caffeine after lunch, eat 2/3 hours before bed time, lock my phone out of my bedroom!).
.
TIP: I would tell a mate & get them to check up on me (works well for external accountability).
.
I hope this is helpful.
Remember- simplicity works, the more complicated something becomes, the less likely it will happen.
.
Which one would you start with first & why?
What do you struggle with most?
