All these points I experience to be true myself. Daily exercise keeps my mental emotional and physical health in balance dealing with numerous health issues in a positive natural way that is in most cases preventative…

I hope this gives you a natural plan of action, motivation to get/keep active… and reassurance.

.

Recent scientific studies have shown that taking daily exercise provides numerous benefits. Here are my top 5:

.

REDUCE YOUR STRESS LEVELS

A study published by the NHS in 2OO9 found that daily moderate exercise for at least half an hour can decrease the stress hormones. If you get stressed after a day at work or home one of the most effective ways to deal with it is exercise.

.

IMPROVE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

Exercise gives your mind and body the opportunity to re-connect without distractions. Specific exercise programmes like Yoga or Pilates lower levels of neural activity in certain parts of the brain and boost chemicals and hormones associated with pleasure, satisfaction and relaxation, which is a good result for looking after your mental health.

.

BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

There have been several studies that show how daily exercise can help fight infections, reduce stress hormone levels and anxiety. Boosting your immune system all year round which gets suppressed with constant stress that builds up and can result in coughs, colds, sore throats, little niggles that don’t seem to go.

.

LOWER YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE

High blood pressure or hypertension is a relatively common condition. There are lots of natural ways to get it under control. Regular daily exercise can lower the stress hormones like adrenaline and noradrenaline, producing an overall relaxing effect, and more… it decreases sympathetic nerve activity and lowers high blood pressure.

.

IMPROVE YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM HEALTH

Daily exercise is also known to have a positive effect on heart-rate variability. To keep the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system in balance is key to avoiding the constant stressed state of ‘fight or flight’. It helps to maintain healthy nervous system balance.

Yours in positive health
